Privacy Policy
How Waves N Wishes collects, uses, shares and protects personal information while planning and coordinating guest experiences.
1. Scope
This policy applies to information collected through wavesnwishes.com, inquiry forms, email, telephone, messaging, payment links and concierge interactions. It is designed to reflect applicable Bahamian data-protection law, including the Data Protection Act, 2025 when in force and any other applicable privacy requirements.
2. Information we collect
- Identity and contact details, such as name, email, telephone number, nationality and billing contact.
- Booking details, including dates, group composition, preferences, dietary or accessibility needs, celebrations and requested destinations.
- Operational details reasonably required by an operator, such as passenger ages, weights for aviation, identification or emergency contact information.
- Transaction records. Full card data is generally collected by the payment processor and is not intended to be stored by Waves N Wishes.
- Website and device data, such as IP address, browser, pages viewed, cookies and referral source.
- Communications, feedback, photographs or media that you choose to provide.
3. Why we use information
We use personal information to respond to inquiries; prepare proposals; confirm and coordinate bookings; process or reconcile payments; communicate itinerary and safety information; personalize service; prevent fraud; keep business and tax records; improve the website; resolve complaints; and comply with legal obligations. Where required, processing is based on consent, contract, legal obligation or a legitimate business purpose balanced against individual rights.
4. Who receives information
We share only information reasonably needed with selected independent operators and service providers, such as vessel operators, aviation companies, drivers, accommodations, venues, caterers, payment processors, website hosts and professional advisers. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect guests, the public or legal rights. We do not sell personal information.
5. International handling
Travel and technology providers may process information outside The Bahamas. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual or operational safeguards, recognizing that foreign privacy laws may differ.
6. Cookies and analytics
The website may use necessary cookies for security, forms and checkout, plus analytics or advertising cookies where enabled. A cookie notice should identify optional categories and allow choices where required. Browser settings can also limit cookies, though some functions may not work correctly.
7. Retention and security
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, including legal, accounting, dispute and repeat-guest service needs. We use proportionate administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for access to or correction of your personal information, object to or restrict certain use, withdraw consent, request deletion where retention is not required, or opt out of marketing. We may verify identity before acting. Contact concierge@wavesnwishes.com. You may also have the right to complain to the relevant Bahamian data-protection authority.
9. Children
The website is not directed to children making bookings. Information about minors should be provided only by a parent, guardian or authorized group leader and only where needed for the service.
10. Updates and contact
We may update this policy as services or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be posted online. Privacy questions or requests may be sent to concierge@wavesnwishes.com.
