History of Waves N Wishes

How one spontaneous yacht day during the COVID era became a more personal way to experience The Bahamas.

Waves N Wishes began with a simple conversation at Baha Mar during the COVID era. A family had been staying at the resort for about a week. They had enjoyed what the property offered, but the days were beginning to feel familiar. They wanted to get beyond the resort and experience something different.

I asked whether they would consider a yacht day. Then I showed them a 120-foot yacht. The husband shared it with his wife, and there was no hesitation: “Let’s do it.” By the next day, they were on the water.

That one day changed the direction of everything.

They explored a side of The Bahamas that cannot be felt from a hotel room: open water, quiet islands, family time and the freedom to make the day their own. They described it as one of the best days of their lives.

The relationship did not end when the charter did. Whenever the family returns to The Bahamas, they arrange another yacht experience with me — often choosing a different vessel or island so each visit feels new. They also send relatives and friends who want to discover the country beyond the resort.

The idea became a purpose

I have always wanted to be valuable to people who want to see The Bahamas for what it truly is. I know the islands, understand how to read what a guest is looking for, and use my personality and local relationships to turn a wish into a well-coordinated experience.

That became Waves N Wishes: a Bahamas-based luxury concierge that brings together private yachts, island escapes, aviation, ground transportation, dining, celebrations and the small details that make a trip feel effortless.

What has never changed

The promise remains personal. Guests should not have to chase multiple providers, repeat the same request or worry about how the pieces connect. Waves N Wishes plans and coordinates the experience from the first conversation through the day itself, working with carefully selected independent operators and crews to deliver each service.

The goal is not simply to book a boat. It is to help every guest leave feeling that they experienced the real Bahamas — and already know who to call when they return.
